Electrical Systems Installation and Maintenance

As an Avionics Installer II at StandardAero, you will be responsible for installing, aligning, and wiring electrical and electronic components. This includes instruments, sensors, radio communications, antennas, J-boxes, lights, and other equipment.

You will determine the best location and method for installing and removing electronic equipment and systems by applying general trade practices and adhering to prints originated by Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, various mod centers, and aircraft manufacturers' wiring diagrams.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of electrical and electronic theories and be able to read and understand wiring diagrams. You will work with your team to implement efficient processes and ensure flight and product quality.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Installs, aligns, and wires electrical and electronic components
  • Determines the best location and method for installing and removing electronic equipment and systems
  • Fabricates wiring harnesses; solders connector plugs; strips and hand lugs wiring; identifies wiring and fabricates and installs surface control indicating systems
  • Performs continuity checks and assists in functional checkout of complete aircraft systems
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2-years of avionics experience required
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to operate hand and power tools and electrical test equipment
  • Must be able to see to read and visually inspect
  • Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds, walk, bend, stretch, and climb ladders
  • Must be able to think clearly, speak intelligibly on the telephone and in person
Estimated Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year

This salary range is based on industry standards and takes into account the level of experience and skills required for this position.
