Key Responsibilities:
- Design and execute tailored educational plans (IEPs) for students with disabilities, ensuring compliance with educational standards and individual student needs.
- Deliver personalized instruction across various settings, including individual, small group, and inclusive classroom formats.
- Adapt and modify instructional materials to cater to the diverse learning styles of students with disabilities.
- Track and assess student progress, making necessary adjustments to teaching methods to facilitate academic achievement.
- Work collaboratively with general education teachers, families, and support staff to enhance student learning experiences.
- Conduct evaluations to assess student progress and determine eligibility for special education services.
- Maintain comprehensive records of student performance, IEP objectives, and communications with families and educational staff.
- Engage in IEP meetings, parent-teacher discussions, and ongoing professional development.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or a related discipline.
- Possession of a valid teaching license in Special Education.
- Preferred additional certifications or endorsements in specific areas of special education, such as Autism Spectrum Disorders or Learning Disabilities.
