Role Overview

We are seeking a System Engineer with robust expertise in Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), robotics, and software development. This pivotal position will involve the creation and management of the functional and logical architecture for a new product, significantly influencing the technical trajectory of this strategically important initiative.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Extract features from customer user journeys and utilize Cameo to construct, maintain, and analyze functional and logical architecture.
  • Ensure traceability of system artifacts across user journeys, features, system requirements, subsystem requirements, and test cases.
  • Collaborate daily with developers to provide insights on technical implementation, ensuring alignment between actual design and intended design.
  • Oversee and manage comprehensive system-level requirements for the developed system, ensuring compliance with intended specifications.
  • Formulate system and subsystem requirements, defining system boundaries, capabilities, and functional attributes.
  • Supervise and validate requirements at both system and subsystem levels.
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in systems engineering, focusing on system requirements, functional decomposition, allocation, analysis, and verification.
  • At least 2 years of experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering methodologies, techniques, and practices.
  • Extensive familiarity with SysML and Cameo within the automotive, defense, or aerospace sectors.
  • Experience in validating and verifying requirements for subsystems and integrated system-level components.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior experience in a client-facing role.
  • Experience in both initial requirements gathering and final system validation.
  • Background in mechanical, electrical, and software engineering.
  • Strong project management capabilities to ensure project deliverables remain on schedule.

Compensation at Applied Intuition includes a competitive base salary, equity options, and comprehensive benefits. The base salary is one component of the total compensation package, which may also encompass equity in the form of options and/or restricted stock units, extensive health, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, 401k retirement benefits with employer matching, learning and wellness stipends, and paid time off.
