About the Role

Raft is seeking an experienced Platform Engineer to support our customers and join our passionate team of high-impact problem solvers.

The ideal candidate will have fundamental experience working with hybrid infrastructure developer platforms, deploying Kubernetes, and automating platform management. They will also have experience developing platform APIs and hosting containerized applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deploy production software leveraging modern languages
  • Design and implement containerized services deployed in production on orchestration platforms
  • Collaborate with senior members to advance mentoring capabilities
  • Effective communication is necessary for internal interactions
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant hands-on experience
  • Experience developing production software leveraging modern languages
  • Experience developing containerized services deployed in production on orchestration platforms
  • In-depth experience with agile and lean software development philosophies
  • Demonstrated experience with modern version control systems
  • Experience building developer platform services and APIs that scale in production
  • Experience building production services using Cloud Infrastructure Providers
  • Experience in Identity and Access Lifecycle Management Operations and Controls
  • Resume demonstrates deep understanding of modern microservices architectures, design patterns, resiliency techniques, and optimizations
  • Manage, report, and facilitate certification of access for all in-scope resources
  • Bachelor Degree in computer science, Mathematics, or equivalent technical degree
  • Ability to obtain a Security+ within the first 90 days of employment with Raft
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with databases like PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB
Clearance Requirements
  • Able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance

  • May require up to 10% travel
Salary Range
  • Earn a total compensation package of $110,000 - $180,000
