The Orange Media Network (OMN) is a student-run organization that produces multimedia content for the OSU community. We are seeking talented and motivated individuals to join our team as Reporters.

Salary: $14.20-$21.00 per hour, depending on location and experience.

Job Description: As a Reporter, you will be responsible for researching, writing, and creating engaging multimedia stories for OMN publications. Your primary duties will include pitching story ideas, conducting interviews, and meeting deadlines.

Some of your key responsibilities will be:

• Pitching and developing news stories with high news value for the OSU community
• Conducting research and necessary interviews to produce full stories with relevant sources
• Remaining objective and providing fair and accurate coverage
• Meeting deadlines as assigned

Required Skills and Qualifications: To succeed in this role, you should have strong writing, communication, and organizational skills. You should also be comfortable working under deadline and be able to maintain a professional attitude in challenging situations.

You must meet the following requirements:

• Be academically enrolled in a high school, community college, or university and pursuing a program or course of study
• Meet Academic Standing Requirements; students on academic suspension are not eligible for employment
• Have a strong understanding of news gathering and fact-checking strategies
