Overview

Mercy Health Physicians Youngstown is seeking a BC/BE General Surgeon with expertise in breast care to join our team as a Breast Surgeon. This is an exciting opportunity to take over a patient panel for a retiring regionally and nationally known and respected breast surgeon and to support the growth of an established breast surgery practice.

Responsibilities
  • 100% focus on breast care with minimal general surgery call
  • Advanced Practice Provider support
  • NAPBC and CoC Accredited
  • Supportive, collaborative hospital leadership
  • Team player, leadership experience to sustain Joanie Abdu's community reputation and growth goals/initiatives
  • Providing state of the art breast care close to home as a nationally accredited breast care center
  • Seeing new consults and follow ups in office, providing administrative leadership over the Joanie Abdu Center, performing all appropriate breast surgery cases in the OR
  • Must have outstanding interpersonal skills and a strong commitment to develop and strengthen the cancer treatment team
  • There is a potential for teaching surgical residents, etc.
  • Breast Surgery program includes the following support staff: breast navigators, nurse practitioner, medical assistant, dedicated nursing, dietician, social workers and financial navigator
