Radiology Technician Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Radiology Technician to join our team at PSN Affiliates. As a Radiology Technician, you will be responsible for operating radiologic equipment to produce high-quality radiographs, providing information to diagnose patient illnesses, and maintaining a safe and clean working environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate radiologic equipment to produce radiographs, ensuring high-quality images and minimizing radiation exposure to patients and staff.
  • Provide information to diagnose patient illnesses by analyzing radiographs and communicating with healthcare professionals.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols, and following established standards and procedures.
  • Prepare patients for radiological procedures by positioning them, adjusting immobilization devices, and moving equipment into specified positions.
  • Document patient care services by charting in patient and department records.
Requirements:
  • Associates Degree of Applied Science in Radiologic Technology or related field.
  • Current Radiology License from the state of Texas (ARRT) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • 2 years of hospital experience in radiology or related field.
