Restaurant Attendant

We are seeking a highly skilled and attentive Restaurant Attendant to provide exceptional customer service to our guests at Island Spa & Sauna. In this role, you will be responsible for greeting guests, explaining menu items, and ensuring a seamless dining experience.

• Greeting Guests: Welcome guests as they arrive, provide them with menus, and assist them in finding a suitable table.
• Taking Orders: Take food and drink orders from guests, ensuring accuracy and noting any special requests or dietary restrictions.
• Serving Food and Drinks: Serve food and beverages to guests, ensuring that orders are delivered promptly and correctly.
• Checking on Guests: Throughout the meal, check on guests to ensure that they are satisfied with their meals and address any issues or concerns.
• Clearing Tables: Clear tables of used dishes, utensils, and glassware promptly after guests have finished their meals.
• Maintaining Cleanliness: Maintain cleanliness in the dining area, including cleaning tables, chairs, and floors, as well as ensuring that condiments and supplies are stocked.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in a similar role may be beneficial but not always required.
• Basic understanding of kitchen hygiene and sanitation practices.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to learn and follow instructions.

• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to reach for specific objects at short distances in local working areas.
• On occasion may be required to lift and carry heavy objects, push or pull heavy objects; kneel, bend or stoop, and ascend or descend ladders or stairs.
• Capable of working in a fast-paced environment and in stressful situations.
