The RN-to-BSN Program at Western Washington University is seeking qualified individuals to join its faculty pool for temporary, part-time teaching positions. As a faculty member, you will have the opportunity to instruct courses in the plan of study or provide clinical practice experience instruction to students at off-campus practice sites.
Responsibilities- Instruct courses in the RN-to-BSN Program, including face-to-face and hybrid instruction
- Provide clinical practice experience instruction to students at off-campus practice sites
- Evaluate student performance using standard University evaluation forms
- Collaborate with program director and department chair to ensure program quality and effectiveness
- Master's degree from an accredited institution in nursing or a health-related field
- RN licensure in Washington State
- Potential for successful University teaching
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with students, faculty, and staff of diverse social identities and backgrounds
- Health and certification requirements
- Earned doctorate in nursing, education, or a health-related field with at least one graduate degree in nursing
- Successful teaching experience in higher education
- Ability to work collaboratively across disciplines and with community practice partners
- Commitment to the WWU mission and Institute of Medicine recommendations on the future of nursing
- Experience with instructional technology
