Database Administration Director

At the Archdiocese of Chicago, we are seeking a highly skilled Database Administration Director to join our team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for maintaining the NRVC IOTA database, managing Catalyst emails/articles, and serving as the primary liaison with our website vendor.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and update the NRVC IOTA database to ensure accurate and timely data.
  • Manage Catalyst emails/articles to effectively communicate with our members and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with our website vendor to resolve issues, contribute to content, and maintain/upgrade the website to meet our evolving needs.
  • Analyze data to track participation, engagement, and benefits usage among NRVC members, collaborators, donors, diocesan vocation offices, and vicars/delegates.

Requirements:

  • Undergraduate degree in database administration or related field; graduate degree in pastoral studies or similar field preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel), CRM software (Raiser's Edge), email broadcast software (Emma), website editing, Zoom, Dropbox, and other relevant office software.
  • Cultural and ecclesial competency, with a deep understanding of the Roman Catholic Church, consecrated life, and vocation ministry.
  • Excellent communication and collaborative skills, with the ability to sustain professional relationships.
  • Ability to create original and professional correspondence, with strong written and verbal skills in English; competency in Spanish and/or other languages encouraged.
  • High organization and detail orientation skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independently and productively with minimal supervision.
  • Professional problem-solving skills and self-control in stressful situations.
  • High degree of trustworthiness, honesty, discretion, and confidentiality.
  • Adaptability and flexibility in meeting the changing needs of the organization and the development of the position.
  • Ability to demonstrate personal initiative in meeting time schedules and maintain high-speed internet and reliable cell phone service for off-site job responsibilities.
