Shift Details: Primarily day shifts with minimal on-call requirements and no weekends.

Weekly Schedule: 5 days of 8-hour shifts.

Role Responsibilities:

Under general supervision, the travel nurse will provide comprehensive nursing care in a hospital setting to patients with varying health conditions. Key responsibilities include:

  • Assuming responsibility for a designated group of patients.
  • Documenting patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments.
  • Assisting physicians during patient examinations and minor diagnostic procedures.
  • Monitoring and obtaining physiological data from patients.
  • Administering prescribed medications and managing intravenous infusions.
  • Delivering patient care with competence and compassion.
  • Engaging with patients and their families to share care plans and hospital procedures.
  • Making appropriate referrals regarding patient care needs.

Required Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience in the Operating Room as a circulator, with capabilities in pre-operative and PACU settings.

Required Education: Graduation from an accredited nursing program.

Preferred Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing from a Board Approved Program.

Certifications & Licensure:

  • Current RN License issued by the Oregon State Board of Nursing or a multistate compact RN License (eNLC).
  • Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification is required.
