As a Nuclear Reactors Engineer with the US Navy, you'll be at the forefront of designing, developing, and maintaining the most advanced nuclear reactors and power plants in the world. Your expertise will drive the cutting-edge of nuclear propulsion, ensuring the Navy's fleet of submarines and aircraft carriers remains the most powerful on Earth.
Key Responsibilities:- Research and design nuclear reactors and power plants
- Develop and implement innovative solutions for reactor and fluid systems
- Collaborate with a team of experts to oversee the entire Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program
- Manage projects from reactor design to fleet operations and de-fueling
- U.S. citizen between the ages of 19 and 29 (exceptions may be possible up to age 40)
- Graduate or current student pursuing a B.A., B.S., or M.S. in mathematics, engineering, physics, chemistry, or other technical areas
- Completed one academic year of calculus and calculus-based physics
- Competitive GPA of 3.0 or higher and a minimum grade of 'B' in all technical courses
