Key Responsibilities:
The ideal candidate will deliver technical mechanical engineering expertise to support the ES62 Space Station Carbon Dioxide (CO2) Removal, Advanced Exploration Systems (AES) Life Support Systems (LSS), and ES62 International Space Station (ISS) Environmental Control Life Support System (ECLSS) Sustaining Engineering. Support tasks include, but are not limited to: software design, development, troubleshooting, and documentation using LABVIEW.
Essential Qualifications:
Education:
A degree in chemical or mechanical engineering or a related technical field is required. A degree from an ABET-accredited institution is preferred. Typically, educational qualifications are equivalent to a Master's degree with a minimum of 8 years of experience, or a Bachelor's degree with at least 10 years of experience.
Required Skills:
- Certification in LABVIEW Programming.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in programming systems using LABVIEW.
- At least 2 years of experience with thermal/fluid components, systems, and associated instrumentation.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with gaseous and liquid fluid flow systems.
- Experience with Aerospace flight system component testing.

Work Environment:
Office setting. Requires the ability to communicate clearly, concisely, accurately, and promptly, both verbally and in writing. Professional interaction with colleagues, management, and clients is essential. Minimal travel within the domestic USA may be required.
Physical Requirements:
Requires extended periods of sitting during meetings and while performing engineering tasks. Ability to navigate between floors and buildings is necessary.
Equipment and Machines:
Proficiency in operating personal computers and general office equipment is required.
Attendance:
Standard work hours are Monday through Friday. Regular attendance is crucial, and arrangements for delegating responsibilities during absences are expected.
Other Essential Functions:
The ability to work independently with minimal supervision, make sound decisions, and exercise good judgment is critical. Professional grooming and attire are required.
Proof of U.S. Citizenship is mandatory.
