Estimator 2

We are seeking a skilled Estimator to join our team at Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope. As an Estimator, you will play a critical role in providing detailed estimates to our customers in a timely manner.

• Provide detailed estimates to customers based on architectural drawings and specifications
• Conduct independent analysis and interpretation of architectural plans to meet industry standards
• Follow up on estimates and provide feedback on market pricing levels
• Achieve acceptable sales and margin levels by monitoring actual vs. estimated costs
• Process quotes to orders when awarded and coordinate with the production department
• Provide consultation, coordination, and assistance to customers, sales force, and internal personnel
• Maintain detailed and organized records of bid documents, correspondence, and project-specific information

• Minimum of 3 years prior experience estimating small to mid-size projects from architectural drawings and specifications
• Ability to read, interpret, and understand architectural drawings and specifications
• Experience using electronic estimating tools, including estimating software, on-screen take-off tools, and Excel spreadsheets
• Knowledge of aluminum glazing systems and their applications
• Understanding of glass, composite metal panels, and other infill options
• Basic understanding of engineering to use in-house programs for structural review
• Strong geometry and math skills
• Organized, self-starter with ability to handle multiple projects and work with minimal supervision
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
