Key Responsibilities
  • Attend in-services/trainings at the Magnolia Ernest Recreation Complex
  • Be timely in attendance as scheduled to work
  • Be responsible in job performance and work quality
  • Communicate effectively with Pool Managers/Supervisors
  • Maintain professional presentation
  • Enforce all aquatic facility policies, rules, and regulations
  • Inspect the facility on a daily schedule and report any unsafe conditions or equipment to the supervisor
  • Complete records and reports
  • Exercise regularly to maintain fitness level (strength and endurance)
  • Perform lifeguard duties in monitoring patrons, ensuring their safety, and performing rescue measures as needed
  • Attend trainings and meetings at the Magnolia Ernest Recreation Complex
Requirements
  • Must be at least 15 years of age
  • Must be able to pass the pre-test to take the lifeguard certification course
  • Current certification in the following: American Red Cross Lifeguard Training and First Aid and American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer
  • Other lifeguarding certifications will be considered
Working Conditions

This is a seasonal position with 10-40 hours per week. The successful candidate will be required to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.
