Nurse Staffing and Support

We maintain a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5 or 1:6, with additional support from a dedicated charge nurse. Our Clinical Nurse Coordinators are available to provide guidance and support, with a maximum patient load to ensure unit support.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing or enrollment in a BSN or advanced degree program with a BSN within 5 years of hire date into RN position
  • Grandfathering will be accepted between departments and Mission Health entities
  • Exemptions or extensions may be approved by the facility CNO and reported out to the CNO Council members
  • RNs with 10 years or more of experience are exempt
  • Masters in Nursing preferred
  • Current licensure as registered nurse with the North Carolina Board of Nursing
  • eNLC (Enhanced Nurse License Compact) license may apply, licensee should confirm with NCBON
  • BLS Healthcare Provider certification
  • National Certification in area of specialty preferred
