In the role of a Recreation Assistant, you will play a crucial part in our mission to deliver exceptional care by facilitating social and recreational experiences that enhance the well-being of our residents. Your Responsibilities:

  • Encourage and support residents in participating in social, physical, and cognitive activities, tailoring these experiences to suit individual needs and capabilities.
  • Assist in the planning, organization, and execution of a diverse range of social and recreational programs for residents.
  • Maintain thorough and accurate records of activities and resident involvement.
  • Provide transportation for residents to and from activities as necessary and assist with the arrangement and cleanup of activity areas.
  • Collaborate with fellow staff members to ensure a comprehensive approach to resident care.
  • Perform additional tasks as needed to deliver outstanding care to each resident.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Creative and enthusiastic, with a genuine passion for working with the elderly population.
  • Knowledge of recreational therapy or a related field is advantageous.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented.
  • Able to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
