Lillington Health & Rehabilitation Center is currently seeking a dedicated individual to become part of our expanding team as a Recreation / Activities Assistant.
In the role of a Recreation Assistant, you will play a crucial part in our mission to deliver exceptional care by facilitating social and recreational experiences that enhance the well-being of our residents. Your Responsibilities:
- Encourage and support residents in participating in social, physical, and cognitive activities, tailoring these experiences to suit individual needs and capabilities.
- Assist in the planning, organization, and execution of a diverse range of social and recreational programs for residents.
- Maintain thorough and accurate records of activities and resident involvement.
- Provide transportation for residents to and from activities as necessary and assist with the arrangement and cleanup of activity areas.
- Collaborate with fellow staff members to ensure a comprehensive approach to resident care.
- Perform additional tasks as needed to deliver outstanding care to each resident.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Creative and enthusiastic, with a genuine passion for working with the elderly population.
- Knowledge of recreational therapy or a related field is advantageous.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented.
- Able to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
