Job Summary:

The ideal candidate will have 5 years of related accounting experience in private foundation/public charity settings and be knowledgeable about Not-for Profit GAAP.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage general accounting and reporting, including budgeting and financial planning;
  • Oversee investment accounting, audit, tax compliance, and banking functions;
  • Develop and implement financial policies and procedures consistent with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP);
  • Maintain and continuously improve the system of financial controls;
  • Ensure state compliance with Department of Developmental Disabilities guidelines;
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting and C.P.A required;
  • Excellent organizational skills and prioritization abilities;
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including verbal and written;
  • Proficient in using computerized accounting systems and MS Office applications;
  • Experience in accounting software, such as Great Plains, preferred;
Salary and Benefits:
