Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified Long-Term Substitute Teacher to join our team in the Baltimore County Public School District. As a substitute teacher, you will be responsible for assuming the duties of the classroom teacher, leading instruction, and providing a supportive learning environment for students.

Responsibilities
  • Assume the duties of the classroom teacher in accordance with school district lesson plans, school rules, and Kelly policies.
  • Lead instruction in the classroom by conducting the teacher's existing lesson plans.
  • Instruct students on classroom topics/courses.
  • Build positive relationships with students and colleagues.
  • Assign reasonable tasks and homework.
  • Empower students to learn and encourage classroom participation.
  • Build a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the ability and interests of students.
  • Adapt to the various learning styles of students.
  • For long-term assignments, develop lesson plans, build, administer, and grade tests and assignments.
Requirements
  • Substitute Teacher: Degree or 48 College Credits or HS Diploma along with A Passing MDSE ParaPro Assessment -Score of 455.
