Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Audiology Specialist to join our team at Huntsville Hospital Health System. This is a full-time opportunity working the 1st shift.
About the Role:
The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying, measuring, and treating hearing disorders in pediatric and adult patients. They will provide comprehensive care, including preventive, habilitative, rehabilitative, and adaptive services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and treat various types of hearing loss and balance disorders using audiometric tests, such as pure-tone testing and speech audiometry
- Preset and fit hearing aids, implants, and other assistive listening devices
- Collaborate with ENT specialists and other healthcare professionals to develop treatment plans
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families to educate them on diagnosis, treatment options, and aftercare instructions
Requirements:
- Masters degree from an accredited program in Audiology; Doctorate of Audiology preferred
- Pediatric Audiology experience with a team approach is highly desirable
- Cochlear programming experience and experience with pediatric amplification are also desired
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Compensation:
The estimated salary range for this position is $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience.
