About the RoleThis is a full-time opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. As a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner, you will be responsible for examining patients, compiling medical data, and providing primary medical direction and coordination of professional medical care within our occupational health program.
Responsibilities- Examine patients and compile medical data, including health history and results of physical examination.
- Administer or order diagnostic tests, such as x-ray, electrocardiogram, and laboratory tests.
- Interpret diagnostic test results for deviations from normal.
- Perform therapeutic procedures, such as injections, immunizations, suturing, and wound care, and managing infection.
- Instruct and counsel patients regarding compliance with prescribed therapeutic regimens and health maintenance.
- Develop and implement patient management plans, record progress notes, and assist in provision of continuity of care.
- Assist in the development, implementation, and revision of policies affecting medical practice judgment and quality of occupational health care.
- Assist in the development and presentation of education and instructional programs.
- Provide excellent customer service to all patients, clients, and peers while incorporating Orange Book values.
- Bachelor's degree in a related health field from an accredited college or university.
- Masters of Science in Physician Assistant Studies (graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program).
- Passed the Physician Assistant National Certifying Examination (PANCE).
- Current licensed physician assistant in the state where employed and in accordance with state laws of practice.
- Must maintain work state physician assistant licensure throughout the course of employment.
