Pilot Captain Position at Pilot Thomas Logistics

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pilot Captain to join our team at Pilot Thomas Logistics. As a key member of our crew, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of our vessels and tugs.

Estimated Salary: $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience.

About the Role:

The Pilot Captain is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our crew, vessels, and equipment. This includes maintaining accurate records, completing routine inspections, and reporting any incidents or issues to our operations manager.

  • Responsible for overseeing all aspects of vessel operation, including navigation, cargo handling, and maintenance.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, federal regulations, and industry standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of vessel performance, maintenance, and incident reports.

You will also play a critical role in planning and directing work assignments, as well as providing supervision and guidance to junior crew members.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a pilot captain or equivalent position.
  • Strong knowledge of vessel operations, safety procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
