Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cyber Researcher and Developer to join our team at Leidos. As a key member of our Cyber & Analytics Business Area (CABA), you will contribute to our internal research and development portfolio focused on Cybersecurity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct reverse engineering and vulnerability research to identify and mitigate potential security threats.
  • Research and develop novel hardware and software-based Cybersecurity capabilities.
  • Apply knowledge of security concepts and networks to design and implement secure systems.
  • Explore and analyze systems to identify new features, vulnerabilities, and techniques.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering with 8-12 years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience in system-level programming and development of embedded systems.
  • Proficiency in C/C++ and Assembly for x86, PowerPC, MIPS, or ARM.
  • Expertise in reverse engineering hardware, firmware, and software.
  • Experience utilizing Ghidra, IDA Pro, Radare, Rizin, or Binary Ninja.
  • Experience in vulnerability research and the application of fuzzing tools.
  • Knowledge of network programming and protocols.
  • Scripting experience with Python, Ruby, or JavaScript to generate and demonstrate prototypes and proof of concepts.
  • US Citizen with an active TS Security Clearance and willingness and ability to upgrade to TS/SCI with Poly.
Preferred Qualifications
  • US Citizen and a TS/SCI with Poly Security Clearance.
  • Familiarity with various Linux distributions, Real-Time Operating Systems, or POSIX compliant Operating Systems.
  • Experience using commercial or open-source signal and protocol analyzers.
  • Familiarity with advanced networking concepts and communications systems.
  • Experience with network test equipment.
  • Understanding of platform virtualization and emulation.
  • Knowledge of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning concepts.

This is a remote-friendly position, but the ideal candidate will be able to work partially onsite in Reston, VA or Columbia, MD. The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
