Job Description:

Krapf School Bus is seeking a skilled Senior Diesel Technician to join our team in Harrisburg, PA. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of diesel engines, ensuring our fleet is safe and reliable.

Krapf School Bus is a family-owned transportation business established in 1942, providing pupil transportation services to local municipalities. We have grown to become one of the largest private providers of contracted school bus transportation in the nation, with operations in multiple states.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on diesel engines, including oil changes, filter replacements, and belt replacements.
  • Diagnose and repair complex engine problems, using advanced diagnostic tools and techniques.
  • Collaborate with other technicians to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used.
  • Meet productivity and quality standards, adhering to company policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in diesel mechanics or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 1 year experience in diesel engine repair and maintenance; certification from OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) recommended.
  • Valid Pennsylvania State Driver's License and CDL with P (passenger) and S (School Bus) endorsements within 6 months of hire.
  • Self-motivated individual with strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
