Job DescriptionThe successful candidate will work as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the Nursing Department of the Indiana Veterans' Home, performing all aspects of nursing care within the scope of the Indiana Nurse Practice Act with moderate supervision. The role involves reporting to the unit manager and taking directives from the shift supervisor (RN) during evening and night shifts. You may also direct the work of Nurse Aide 4's and 5's, following predetermined standards and routines. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Providing high-quality patient care, including administering medications, wound care, and vital sign monitoring.
- Maintaining accurate records and documenting patient progress.
- Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care delivery.
Required Skills and QualificationsTo be considered for this exciting opportunity, you must possess the following qualifications:
- A current LPN license in the state of Indiana.
- At least 1 year of experience working as an LPN in a healthcare setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
