Job Summary

EchoStar Corporation, a global leader in satellite communication solutions, is seeking a highly skilled Corporate Counsel - International Contracts to join our Hughes Network Systems division. As a key member of our legal team, you will provide expert legal advice and guidance on international contracts, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day legal advice and guidance on international contracts, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating agreements with customers, sales representatives, and business partners.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts within the Legal Department on topics such as international subsidiary management, corporate governance, trade compliance, and data privacy.
  • Develop and deliver relevant training to the business on contract interpretation and compliance.
  • Assist with due diligence, background checks, and training of potential international business partners and sales representatives.

Requirements

  • JD from an accredited law school and admission to practice in at least one jurisdiction.
  • 4-6 years of legal experience with a law firm or at a company working on commercial contracts and/or international business transactions for multinational companies.
  • Travel: 10% or less.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Telecommunications or satellite industry experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and analytical skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to be engaged and interact with all levels of staff.
