Lead Civil Estimator

C.W. Roberts Contracting, Inc. (CWR) is actively looking for a Lead Civil Estimator to join our team. This role is crucial for our operations and requires a minimum of 7 years of experience in civil construction estimation, particularly in areas such as highway interchanges, drainage systems, roads, and bridges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough estimates for civil projects, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Work under the guidance of the Area Manager to fulfill essential estimating functions.
  • Analyze project specifications and drawings to produce reliable estimates.
  • Identify potential construction risks and incorporate them into cost assessments.
  • Propose value-engineering alternatives and address constructability concerns during the estimating phase.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field is required.
  • A minimum of 7 years in the road construction sector, with a strong focus on bidding processes.
  • At least 3 years in a supervisory role within estimating is necessary.
  • Proficiency in construction estimating software and take-off tools is essential.
  • A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are mandatory.
