Tax Consultant

As a Tax Consultant at MBE CPAs, you will play a vital role within our individual tax division, focusing on building and maintaining client relationships while ensuring the timely delivery of annual tax filings for individuals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare tax documentation and reports for individual tax clients.
- Assist clients with correspondence from the IRS as necessary.
- Handle the preparation of 1099 forms and other year-end financial tasks.
- Support clients with bookkeeping duties, including bank reconciliations, deposits, ledger entries, and managing accounts receivable and payable.
- Engage with clients through meetings and communications, providing tailored recommendations for their financial and tax-related needs.
Qualifications and Skills:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting is preferred or equivalent professional experience.
- EA or CPA certification is highly valued or the willingness to obtain such credentials.
- Experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or tax services within a public accounting environment is strongly preferred.

Work Schedule:
At MBE, you will experience the dynamic nature of tax season, with the possibility of working 50-60 hours per week during peak times, while enjoying a more flexible schedule of 30-40 hours per week during the off-season, allowing you to balance work with personal interests and family commitments. We also welcome part-time and seasonal team members.
