Position Summary

Responsible for creating and sustaining an attractive retail atmosphere while assisting customers in their selection and purchase of products.

Primary Duties
  1. Support for Service Department
  • Collaborate with Service Technicians to address their Parts and Accessories requirements.
  • Process orders from service technicians for parts promptly.
  • Assist technicians in identifying necessary parts & accessories for specific tasks.
  • Advise on additional Parts and Accessories that may be beneficial for a job.
  • Provide cost estimates for parts on repair orders.
  • Update the inventory management system and parts catalog.
  • Inform service staff when special orders or back-ordered items arrive.
  • Ensure the Parts and Accessories area is clean and inventory is orderly.
  1. Customer Engagement
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to all clients.
  • Assist the Parts and Accessories manager in achieving sales and profitability objectives.
  • Welcome customers promptly and courteously.
  • Develop and share expertise on all Parts and Accessories products, including parts history and service knowledge.
  • Manage multiple customer interactions while ensuring satisfaction.
  • Handle phone inquiries efficiently and courteously.
  • Highlight promotions, new products, and suggest complementary items to enhance customer purchases.
  • Guide customers in identifying parts and accessories and research products in catalogs.
  • Process payments accurately and maintain cash register integrity.
  • Address customer complaints with empathy and a positive attitude, demonstrating a commitment to outstanding service.
  1. Maintain a Clean & Organized Parts Environment
  • Receive and process parts from suppliers, verifying against purchase orders, and prepare items for display.
  • Participate in regular inventory counts and reporting.
  • Ensure product displays are well-stocked, clean, and visually appealing.
  • Keep customer mailing lists updated.
  • Become proficient with all aspects of the computer systems necessary for Parts & Accessories management.

Qualifications & Requirements
  • Ability to connect with a diverse customer base.
  • Understanding of parts department operations and products, or the ability to learn quickly.
  • Experience with Point-of-Sale and inventory systems, or the capacity to learn swiftly.
  • Ability to locate parts and provide pricing using appropriate catalogs.
Physical Requirements
  • Occasional exposure to loud noise levels.
  • May require bending, stooping, reaching, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
Working Environment
  • Potential exposure to battery acid, gasoline, and other hazardous materials typical in automotive service settings.
  • Occasional exposure to exhaust fumes and airborne particles.
