The daily activities of this Python Software Engineer will involve a blend of coding, teamwork, analytical problem-solving, and ongoing professional development, all directed towards delivering superior software solutions that fulfill the requirements of users and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable and maintainable code for machine learning tools and workflows.
  • Collaborate with data scientists, software developers, and stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver effective solutions.
  • Implement and maintain Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to ensure efficient software delivery.
  • Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to uphold code quality and best practices.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to software performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Stay informed about the latest industry trends, tools, and technologies to enhance our development processes.

Qualifications:

  • Strong expertise in the Python programming language, emphasizing structured development methodologies.
  • Ability to work on end-to-end solutions.
  • Solid understanding of CI/CD principles and experience in implementing CI/CD pipelines.
  • Demonstrated history of developing comprehensive solutions from development through to deployment.
  • Experience with Git/Gitlab for version control and collaborative development.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities and meticulous attention to detail.

Additional Skills:

  • Familiarity with machine learning concepts and frameworks.
  • Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Previous experience in the insurance or financial services sector.
