As a Geriatrician, you will play a critical role in providing specialty consultation to older adults throughout the campus, addressing geriatric syndromes, and partnering with primary teams to deliver high-quality patient and family-centered care.
Responsibilities- Participate in daily Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) meetings to optimize clinical integration and effectiveness of service delivery.
- Represent Geriatric Medicine in at least one campus initiative or committee.
- Provide educational oversight of rotating learners.
- Collaborate in quality initiatives to improve patient outcomes.
- Work with hospital and community partners to ensure seamless care transitions.
- Develop and maintain partnerships in strategic arenas throughout the campus.
- Participate in the remote call schedule.
- Board Eligible/Certified in Geriatric Medicine.
- Licensed to practice medicine in the State of Virginia.
