Position Overview:
- Oversee the operation and maintenance of Omnicell automation products as directed by the Customer during scheduled hours.
- Prepare and ensure the readiness of Omnicell automation equipment (ADCs and AWSs) for daily operations.
- Conduct general troubleshooting of equipment.
- Maintain optimal medication inventory levels and review associated reports.
- Identify and communicate any nursing concerns to the Pharmacy Informatics Assistant Director.
- Monitor formulary inventory levels to guarantee medication availability for dispensing.
- Responsible for the prescribed maintenance of automation products and report unresolved issues to the Technical Assistance Center (TAC).
- Recommend medications for addition to automation products based on usage data, demand, and workflow.
- Perform routine cleaning of equipment following best practices.
- Inspect equipment for functionality and wear.
- Resolve common system issues and monitor trends to identify root causes.
- Maintain high levels of communication to facilitate proactive problem-solving.
- Ensure customer satisfaction by aligning Pharmacy services with a focus on quality and responsiveness.
- Conduct training and orientation sessions, ensuring compliance with all procedures and policies.
- Act as a knowledgeable resource to promote customer satisfaction.
- Engage in planning processes by setting personal goals to support quality improvement initiatives.
- Maintain onsite inventory of supplies for ADCs and AWSs.
- Perform quality assurance duties, including auditing proper equipment usage and removing expired medications.
- Conduct ongoing inspections of equipment to ensure operational integrity.
Minimum Qualifications: Effective April 25, 2021, all new hires into the title of Pharmacy Technician must possess a valid license to practice as a Registered Pharmacy Technician by the NYSED.
