At Family Health Care, we are seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a detail-oriented individual with excellent communication skills to assist our healthcare providers in delivering high-quality patient care. The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and maintain accurate records.

This is an exciting opportunity to develop your medical assisting skills while working in a supportive team environment. As a Medical Assistant at Family Health Care, you will have the chance to gain hands-on experience, expand your knowledge, and contribute to the well-being of our patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Obtain and document patient information according to established standards, policy, procedures, and protocols.
  • Prepare clinical areas for daily operations to meet provider and patient needs.
  • Maintain continuous training in new processes or protocols as directed by Preceptor/Supervisor and applicable requirements of the Apprenticeship program.
  • Provide and document appropriate patient education and information according to established standards, policies, and procedures; under provider direction and within own level of training.
  • Perform or assist the provider with diagnostic clinical procedures.
  • Assist patients in the course of care as needed and as directed by the provider and clinical support staff.
  • Understand and demonstrate the ability to protect patient privacy according to HIPPA laws.

Requirements:

  • Duties require a basic level of general knowledge.
  • On-the-job training is needed.
  • Basic computer skills are required.
  • Proficiency in Windows technology preferred.
