Job Title: Lead Manufacturing Engineer

Job Overview

We are in search of an experienced Lead Manufacturing Engineer with a minimum of 7 years in the field to spearhead the development of CNC programming for advanced multi-axis CNC lathes and milling machines utilizing CAM software, specifically MasterCAM. This position focuses on enhancing and standardizing machining operations, tooling, and equipment. The ideal candidate will dedicate around 75% of their time on the production floor, actively involved in editing and refining programs on machinery, managing setups, and driving engineering process enhancement initiatives. The role encompasses oversight of approximately 20 machines, ensuring that all programs are current, optimized, and that necessary adjustments to processes are implemented. While direct machine operation is not required, the candidate will assist during setups and initial production runs. Additionally, the role includes designing fixtures and potentially developing 3D models using CAD software.
Essential Skills
  • Expertise in CNC Programming with MasterCAM
  • Proficient in operating multi-axis CNC lathes and mills
  • Experience in fixture design
  • Proficient in CAD software such as SolidWorks or NX
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles
  • Understanding of Process Routing
  • Familiarity with secondary processes
  • Knowledge of Nondestructive Testing (NDT)
