Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled CT Technologist to join our Radiology team at Mount Sinai Queens. As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for performing CT scans and other diagnostic exams, assisting patients, and providing exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Assist patients in preparing for CT scans and other diagnostic exams
  • Operate CT scanners and other radiographic equipment
  • Position patients correctly for imaging procedures
  • Apply aseptic solutions and sterile drapes as needed
  • Load and program contrast media power injectors
  • Coordinate scan protocols with radiologists
  • Minimize radiation exposure to patients and staff
  • Perform quality assurance procedures
  • Ensure accurate labeling of images
  • Assist physicians directly as needed
  • Evaluate radiographs for technical acceptability
  • Transmit images to PACS in a timely manner
  • Maintain a clean and organized radiology room
  • Accurately record patient tracking information
  • Schedule exams into IDX (Radiology Information System)
Requirements
  • Graduate of an AMA/J.C.E.R.T. approved program in Radiologic Technology
  • Minimum 2 years of progressive CT experience (new graduates considered)
  • Excellent technical skills and knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy, physiology, and positioning
  • New York State License (L.R.T.) and current CPR certification
