Job Summary

Responsibilities
  • Assess patients' initial and ongoing needs, developing and implementing individualized care plans
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to coordinate patient care and delegate tasks to team members
  • Advocate for patients and their families, ensuring their needs are met and their rights are respected
  • Develop, implement, and modify patient care plans based on patient progress and changing needs
  • Review and transcribe physician orders, initiating STAT orders as necessary
  • Assess, collaborate, report, and coordinate patient transfer or discharge planning needs
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing
  • Current RN License by the Board of Nurse Examiners State of California
  • Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BCLS
  • Current American Heart Association ACLS
  • Dysrhythmia required
  • National RN Certification preferred
  • Minimum of one-year acute care hospital experience
  • Critical Care or Telemetry experience preferred

Riverside Community Hospital is a large acute care facility with 517 beds, established in 1901. It has the most extensive Emergency Room and Level I Trauma Center in the Inland Empire region and is the primary recipient of STEMI (heart attack) cases in Riverside County.

The hospital is accredited as a Chest Pain Center and Comprehensive Stroke Center and has a HeartCare Institute that offers both invasive and non-invasive cardiac procedures. Riverside has a Center of Excellence for Surgical Weight Loss and a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
