Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Technologist to join our team at the Alaska Native Medical Center. As a Diagnostic Imaging Technologist - Echo/Vascular, you will be responsible for performing high-quality diagnostic imaging procedures using echocardiography and vascular ultrasound equipment.

Responsibilities
  • Perform Diagnostic Imaging Procedures: Conduct echocardiography and vascular ultrasound exams to diagnose and monitor various medical conditions.
  • Operate Imaging Equipment: Use advanced imaging equipment to capture high-quality images and videos for diagnostic purposes.
  • Prepare Patients: Explain procedures to patients, position them correctly, and ensure their comfort and safety during exams.
  • Maintain Equipment: Perform routine maintenance and quality control checks on imaging equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with Healthcare Team: Work closely with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective patient care.
Requirements
  • Certifications: BLS and RDCS-Adult certifications are required. RVT certification is also required before the start date.
  • Experience: At least 2 years of experience in echocardiography and vascular ultrasound is required. Experience with CERNER, 3D Echo, and other advanced imaging techniques is preferred.
  • Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and proficiency in PACS and other medical imaging software.
