Baden Consulting Service, LLC (BCS) is a small engineering/consulting firm specializing in Roadway Asset Management Services for the municipal market. We leverage automated and manual roadway asset data collection, GIS, data analytics, and web technologies to create roadway asset inventories, condition evaluations, and provide network level analysis, reporting, and presentation.

• Field Data Collection: (70%)
• In-office Data Entry and Editing (15%)
• Geographic Information System (GIS) (10%)
• Miscellaneous Office Work (5%)

Depending on project assignments, field data collection will include a combination of driving and walking roadways using vehicle mounted cameras, GPS enabled tablets, and other mobile technologies. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with extended outdoor hours, walking, and carrying lightweight equipment. Examples of current projects include town-wide inventory of traffic signs (2,000 signs), town-wide sidewalk inventory, multiple town-wide roadway video-log creation.

The position is approximately 40 hours per week, with flexible days and times to optimize working conditions and hour total. The hourly rate is $20.00, paid bi-weekly. The position may be converted to a Co-op, extending through first and maybe second academic quarter.
