Veterinary Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated Veterinary Assistant to provide exceptional care to our patients at Cibolo Creek Veterinary Hospital in Boerne, Texas.

This full-service animal hospital offers a range of services, including emergency treatment, routine medical, surgical, and dental care, as well as boarding, grooming, and daycare services.

As a Veterinary Assistant, you will work alongside skilled Vet Assistants, support our Credentialed Veterinary Technicians and DVMs in the daily flow of the hospital, and provide exceptional care to our patients.

You will assist DVMs and credentialed veterinary technicians with appointments, prepping patients for surgery and minor procedures, surgical assisting, and proactively set up for any procedures or diagnostic tests.

Key responsibilities include restraining animals in a safe, efficient, and caring manner, obtaining accurate vitals, obtaining medical histories, and noting any changes in a patient's condition to DVMs.

You will also collect and prepare laboratory samples, care and maintenance of all medical equipment, and provide high-quality client communication on patient updates and questions.
