Job Summary:

WaFd Bank is seeking a skilled Cybersecurity Risk Specialist to collaborate on the development and implementation of a risk-based information security program. This role involves ensuring the organization adheres to established policies, procedures, and regulations related to information security. The selected candidate will contribute to control evaluations, risk assessments, and compliance reviews to identify potential areas of risk.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct internal information security risk assessments to meet internal and external compliance requirements
  • Conduct information security third-party risk management reviews and assessments
  • Maintain the information security risk registry and track remediation activities across product teams
  • Work with information security and IT leadership to develop strategies and plans to improve the security practices of the organization
  • Collaborate on IT and Business projects to ensure security recommendations, policies, and standards are addressed throughout the project life cycle

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of relevant work experience in information security, computer science, or a related field
  • Broad knowledge in information security processes, best practices, and technologies
  • Excellent written/oral communication skills to effectively convey ideas across business and technical teams
