Job Title: Construction Project Manager - Underground

We are seeking a seasoned Construction Project Manager to oversee our underground projects, focusing on geotechnical engineering and ensuring successful execution from conception to completion.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage multidisciplinary project teams, including internal staff and external subcontractors, to achieve project milestones and objectives.
  • Oversee the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) phases of projects, coordinating activities to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Manage and review drawing revisions, ensuring all changes are accurately documented and communicated to relevant stakeholders.
  • Collaborate closely with the engineering team to address technical issues, review designs, and ensure project specifications are met.
  • Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact on project timelines and budgets.
  • Oversee internal project teams, providing guidance, support, and performance management to ensure high productivity and morale.
  • Manage subcontractor relationships, including selection, contract negotiation, performance monitoring, and issue resolution.
  • Assist with development and maintaining project schedules and budgets, ensuring projects are completed on time and within financial constraints.
  • Implement and monitor quality control processes to ensure all project deliverables meet the required standards and specifications.
  • Manage projects with a strong geotechnical component, ensuring that all geological and soil-related issues are properly addressed.
  • Oversee boring and mining activities, ensuring compliance with safety standards and project specifications.
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation and prepare regular status reports for senior management and clients.
Requirements:
  • 8-10 years of project management experience in the oil and gas industry or renewable energy sector.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Certified Construction Manager (CCM) and/or Project Management Professional (PMP) is preferred.
  • Strong civil and geotechnical background.
  • Proven experience in leading and managing project teams and subcontractors.
  • In-depth knowledge of EPC processes and best practices.
  • Excellent risk management skills and experience developing mitigation strategies.
  • Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively with engineering and other technical teams.
  • Exceptional organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
