About the Role

AmeriQual is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Foods Procurement Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our procurement department, you will be responsible for creating, reviewing, tracking, and maintaining purchase orders until completion.

Key Responsibilities

• Utilize our Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system to efficiently order and produce reports, ensuring a desired level of inventory by researching aged and excess materials.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
• Coordinate freight for purchase orders as needed, identifying opportunities to achieve efficiencies and implementing actions to drive results.
• Perform other duties as directed by management, requiring strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
• Purchasing experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in MS Office and experience with ERP systems or purchasing/inventory software.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Highly organized and process-oriented, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.

Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this role, employees are regularly required to sit, walk, and stand; talk or hear, both in person and by telephone; use hands repetitively to operate standard office equipment; reach with hands and arms; and lift up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
