Float Pharmacist Opportunity with Optum

We're seeking an experienced pharmacist to join our team as a Float Pharmacist. In this role, you'll be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and services at various Genoa pharmacy locations in Pittsburgh, PA and surrounding areas. Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Distributing medications prescribed by physicians and other healthcare professionals
• Providing accurate and reliable information to customers about their medications and usage
• Focusing on delivering an outstanding level of customer service
• Ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations related to pharmacy practice
• Administering immunizations as authorized by state boards of pharmacy
• Performing other routine pharmacy duties

To be considered for this position, you'll need to meet the following requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or PharmD
• Current pharmacist license in the state of Pennsylvania
• Authorization to administer injectables license in the state of Pennsylvania or willingness to obtain
• Access to reliable transportation and a valid driver's license

While not required, having experience as a pharmacist would be an asset in this role. Additionally, knowledge of community-based pharmacy practices and collaborative care models would be beneficial.
