We are seeking an experienced Diesel Shop Manager to lead our team in Northern Florida. The ideal candidate will have at least 2-3 years of shop management experience, but we will also consider a talented Sr Diesel Mechanic ready to step into a management role. A background in waste or recycling would be a significant advantage.

This individual will be responsible for the complete operations of the Service Department, including:

  • Directing and coordinating activities concerned with repair and maintenance of diesel engine vehicles, and operation and maintenance of truck service facilities.
  • Working closely with the Fixed Operations Manager to grow the department and make necessary decisions to maintain profitability.
  • Developing, monitoring, and reporting on performance metrics, including revenue, profitability, and efficiency.
  • Building and growing customer relationships.
  • Responding to customer concerns.
  • Planning and preparing work schedules and assigning employees to specific duties.
  • Communicating policies, procedures, and company/department goals to employees.
