Pediatric and Child Psychiatrist Position

Company Overview: The University of Utah Department of Pediatrics is seeking a highly skilled Academic Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist and Pediatrician to join its faculty. This individual will work within the Division of Pediatric Psychiatry and Behavioral Health, providing clinical care, educating future healthcare providers, conducting research, and engaging in advocacy.
Salary: This position offers a competitive salary, with an estimated annual compensation ranging from $250,000 to $350,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
Job Description:
The selected candidate will spend half of their time working as a pediatric hospitalist and half of their time working as a child psychiatry attending on the behavioral health consult service at Primary Children's Hospital. Clinical duties will include some nights, weekends, and pager call, requiring flexibility and a strong commitment to patient care. The physician will work within multi-disciplinary teams to provide clinical care, educate future healthcare providers, conduct research, and engage in advocacy.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Board Eligible/Board Certified in Pediatrics, General Psychiatry, and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry
- Strong clinical skills and experience in pediatric hospital medicine and child psychiatry
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment
