Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems is seeking a Systems Engineer to join our Specialty Engineering team.

In this pivotal position, you will tackle some of the most significant and intricate challenges by delivering solutions to a variety of technical issues of moderate complexity.

Your role will involve collaboration with a diverse group of technical experts and engagement with external clients.


Key Responsibilities:
In this position, you will:
- Conduct technical assessments and evaluations of new product designs, focusing on logistics implications for Aviation Training Simulators and automated testing equipment.
- Analyze components based on engineering schematics, CAD files, and material lists to determine their impact on logistics engineering requirements throughout the system lifecycle.

- Perform comprehensive analyses at all stages of the total system product, including concept, design, fabrication, testing, installation, operation, maintenance, and decommissioning.

- Develop and implement frameworks for integrating logistics engineering outcomes into Model Based Systems Engineering and other Product Lifecycle Management tools.

- Investigate logistics challenges throughout the system lifecycle and collaborate with interdisciplinary engineering teams to assess severity and identify corrective measures.

- Review requirements within Department of Defense contracts, ensuring a logical and systematic transformation of requirements into comprehensive systems solutions that consider technical, scheduling, and cost constraints.

- Execute detailed trade studies to support Integrated Logistics Support requirements and interdisciplinary engineering functions across various business lines.

Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate will be adaptable, driven, detail-oriented, and a team player capable of managing multiple tasks.

You possess strong numerical skills, the ability to conceptualize complex systems, and find optimization challenges engaging.

Your background may include coursework or a degree in engineering, applied physics, or a related field.

Basic Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a STEM field, or equivalent experience/combined education.

- At least 2 years of experience with SysML or Model Based Systems Engineering.

- Active Department of Defense clearance.
