Cardiovascular Tech Job Description

At UF Health, we are seeking a highly skilled Cardiovascular Tech to join our team in the Electrophysiology Lab. As a Cardiovascular Tech, you will play a critical role in ensuring the success of our patients undergoing complex interventional procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor procedures and assist physicians in a scrub-assistant role
  • Circulate to include all diagnostic EP and cardiac ablations procedures, device implants and explants
  • Ensure safe patient care through adherence to sterile technique and radiation protection protocols

Requirements:

  • Associate's Degree in Cardiovascular Technology, Radiologic Technology, or Respiratory Therapy
  • Either a FL Certified Radiologic Technologist license with valid ARRT Certification or a FL Registered Respiratory Therapist license with valid ARRT Certification
  • Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) Certification or Registered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) Certification (Preferred)
  • BLS and ACLS certifications
  • Minimum 1 year recent experience in Cardiac Cath lab or EP lab
