A Culinary Specialist is responsible for preparing all food items, based on standardized recipes, for the Cafe, Room Service, Employee Cafeteria, and Banquets, while maintaining the highest standards to produce an appealing and appetizing product.
The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or a related field. Food Handlers Certification is also required.
The successful candidate will be able to convey information and ideas clearly, evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately, and work well in stressful, high-pressure situations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare all food items according to standardized recipes.
- Maintain the cleanliness, sanitation, and safety in the kitchen and work areas.
- Minimize waste and maximize cost/production ratio.
- Work well in a team environment and communicate effectively with colleagues.
- Be able to lift 50+ pounds and stand for long periods of time.
Working Conditions:
The Culinary Specialist will be working in a fast-paced kitchen environment with exposure to heat, noise, and vibrations.
