About the Role:

As an Equipment Operator at Kemp Quarries, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of mobile aggregate mining and processing equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain regular attendance at the worksite or assigned work location
  • Foster a culture of safety by adhering to company policies and local, state and federal regulations for safe working procedures
  • Operate and monitor equipment in a safe and efficient manner, with a focus on minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity
  • Perform routine maintenance and pre-shift inspections, as well as repair and clean equipment as needed
  • Ensure overall housekeeping of plant, equipment, and site facilities
  • Accurately complete all necessary paperwork in a timely and efficient manner
Physical Requirements:
  • Lift objects weighing up to 75 pounds occasionally and 50 pounds frequently
  • Climb stairs and ladders repeatedly throughout the day
  • Balance, bend from the trunk, crawl, kneel, push and pull objects regularly
  • Use vibration-producing tools frequently
  • Tolerate working outdoors in various environmental temperatures and weather conditions
Requirements:
  • Mid-Level experience operating equipment used at the facility is required
  • A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) is preferred
  • A good safety record, positive behavior, and strong attendance are essential
  • The ability to perform other tasks as needed, including heavy labor
  • Willingness to work outside in extreme weather conditions
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including swing shift, graveyard shift, overtime, and weekends as required
