The Henry Ford features several food service locations, including the distinctive dining experience at Eagle Tavern in Greenfield Village. Contribute to the creation of fresh, farm-to-table dishes in partnership with local producers, while also bringing to life the stories of family farms and organic food in innovative ways. Opportunities for catering private events at our venues are also available.

The position of Server at Eagle Tavern entails delivering daily restaurant service within a historically themed 1850s environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare the venue for daily operations, including setting up tables and completing necessary preparations.
  • Ensure the dining area is properly arranged prior to guest arrivals.
  • Provide exceptional guest experiences.
  • Possess a solid understanding of menu offerings and effectively communicate with guests, including addressing special dietary needs.
  • Deliver an authentic historical dining experience to guests.
  • Prepare and serve beverages.
  • Serve meals and beverages professionally, efficiently clear tables, and uphold cleanliness standards.
  • Handle cash transactions, understand pricing, and interact courteously with guests and colleagues.
  • Maintain cleanliness at the work station and comply with health and sanitation regulations.
  • Perform closing duties and care for historical uniforms.
  • Utilize equipment properly and adhere to all departmental policies and procedures.
  • Act as a supportive team member and share expertise with the team.
  • Exercise sound judgment in guest interactions and promptly report any issues to management.
Your Qualifications:
  • Must be at least 18 years old with prior serving experience.
  • High school diploma is preferred.
  • Flexible availability, including daytime, evening, holidays, and weekends.
  • Completion of or willingness to complete alcohol awareness training.
  • Customer service-oriented with a hospitable demeanor.
  • Availability during weekdays and weekends for daytime shifts.
Preferred Skills:
  • Personable and team-oriented.
  • Enthusiastic with strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, familiar with suggestive selling techniques, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
